What is the minimum account size or funding requirement?

The minimum initial deposit when opening an account with ForexTrading.com is $2,000 or equivalent.

You can select many currencies as the base currency of your account and all transactions will be converted back to the base currency of your account.

You will be asked to deposit funds during the account opening process, once your account documents have been approved.

How do I open an account?

You can apply for an account right now using the online account application on this website. There are links to both LIVE and TRIAL accounts. In the case of a LIVE account there's guidance to the right of the online application as to what's required. Don't forget to e-mail the additional documentation requested.

We will then validate your application and contact you via e-mail when your account is open.

How do I fund my account?

ForexTrading.com accepts funding by bank transfer and, in some cases by credit or debit card. For more information on funding, please look here: www.forextrading.com/account/Pages/account.aspx

What are your trading costs and spreads?

Full details of our trading costs, spreads and charges can be seen in the Trading Terms section of the website, www.forextrading.com/trading-terms/Pages/trading-terms.aspx, or in the platforms under "Account", "Trading Conditions".

What security do I have placing my funds with ForexTrading.com Bank A/S?

ForexTrading.com Bank A/S is a secondary name of Saxo Bank A/S. Saxo Bank is a fully accredited European bank and is a member of the Danish Guarantee Fund for Depositors and Investors, a private independent institution established by an Act of the Danish parliament. Please see Saxo Bank's website, www.saxobank.com, for details on how every client is secured at Saxo Bank with their deposits.

What instruments will I be able to trade?

ForexTrading.com offers trading in the world's most liquid currency pairs and CFDs.

What support or service will I receive as a client of ForexTrading.com?

ForexTrading.com will provide help functions and text/video tutorials in the trading platforms and on the website. Personal trading advice is not available.

Technical support is provided by a service center. You can contact the service center using chat or by e-mailing service@forextrading.com. When contacting us, please make sure to include the following information so that we can quickly investigate and provide a solution:

1. Your client ID.

2. Which browser are you using?

3. A detailed description of the problem.

4. A screenshot (picture) of the error or problem, if possible.

What regional language support is available from ForexTrading.com?

ForexTrading.com only supports clients in English.

What documents do I need to provide to open an account?

ForexTrading.com requires the submission of the following supportive documentation to complete your account application:

1. Proof of Identity:

A copy of valid and signed government issued identification document, for example a passport, driver’s license or National ID card. It is important that the signature on the document matches the one on the application form.

2. Proof of Residency:

A copy of your National ID card, driver’s license or social security card containing your registered address.

OR

A bank statement or a utility bill (e.g., water, electricity, landline phone, internet or TV) issued in your name within the last six months.

The documents need to be e-mailed as files during the account opening process.

How do I withdraw funds from my account?

You can request a cash withdrawal from your account using the Withdraw Cash module within the trading platform. Select the "Account" tab and then "Withdraw Cash".

Note: 3rd party transfers are not permitted, therefore you can only withdraw funds to an account held in the same name as your ForexTrading.com account.

I am a Saxo Bank client. How do I convert to ForexTrading.com?
You must close all existing positions and orders before asking to convert by going to this link: www.forextrading.com/account/Pages/account-conversion.aspx. It may take up to 24 hours to convert your account once you submit your conversion application. You cannot hold accounts with both Saxo Bank and ForexTrading.com.
Can I open a joint or company account?
No, ForexTrading.com only offers retail accounts for individual users.

Trading Platform FAQs

How secure is trading through the WebTrader platform?

ForexTrading.com's platform uses Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol to allow WEB servers and clients to communicate more securely through the use of encryption.

How do I enable high encryption with Internet Explorer on my pc?
To check if you have High Encryption, open Internet Explorer, click Help > About Internet Explorer. If the Cipher Strength is 128 bit, your pc is enabled for High Encryption. For more details about Internet Explorer High Encryption Pack, please refer to Microsoft's website.
My ForexTrading.com WebTrader platform logs out automatically too soon. How do I change it?
For security reasons, WebTrader is configured by default to log out after a period of inactivity. You cannot disable the automatically logout feature, but you can set the time by logging into the platform and clicking Settings > General. In the drop down menu choose your preferred setting and click OK.
What should I do if I have problems viewing some pages in my WebTrader using Internet Explorer?
The WebTrader platform uses SSL protocol for communication. In order to be able to view all the pages you need to enable SSL on Internet Explorer: 1. Open Internet Explorer. 2. Click Tools > Internet Options > Advanced. 3. Scroll down to Security and make sure Use SSL 3.0 is enabled.
What are the system requirements of the WebTrader platform?

The following browsers are supported:

Internet Explorer 6 or newer,

Firefox 3 or newer,

Safari 4 or newer.

Note: In order to launch the Advanced Charts in the platform you will need to be using Internet Explorer. This is because the advanced charts are using .NET Framework technology, which is currently only supported in Internet Explorer.

In order to view some of the analysis pages in the platform, Adobe Acrobat Reader must be installed. The latest version of the program can be downloaded from Adobe.

The Advanced Charts or Reports in my WebTrader platform are not loading. What can I do?

In some cases your local security settings will block the platform from contacting the Chart or Reporting servers. In order to fix this, please add the following sites to your browsers trusted Sites list:

*.onlinewebconnect.com

(Make sure to include the *)

I have forgotten my password. How do I reset it?

You can obtain a new password using the following link: www.forextrading.com/dcf/Pages/password-reset.aspx

Please make sure to insert your Client ID number, and the email address that is registered on your account on the password reset form.

How secure is trading on the ClientStation?
ClientStation authentication relies on an a RSA 1024-bit key generated and stored on the client workstation and data traffic between ClientStation and Saxo bank is encrypted using a RC4 128-bit session key.
